Whenever I open try opening a document, two new ones open. Any clue how to fix? Thanks.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

TBH I'm not comfortable with any software originating from China or HK.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I do legal work and need to convert pdf's to word so that I can edit the word doc.  or add additional info to converted doc.-
The native language that I work in is Greek and PDF'S and WORD Greek are mostly Greek -I do not want to pay monthly or yearly - what is best for me and who offers the best price

https://commerce.adobe.com/checkout/email/?items%5B0%5D%5Bid%5D=810DBC1D31AED15EFA7018024549E9DE&items%5B0%5D%5Bq%5D=1&rUrl=&cli=adobe_com&lang=en&co=US

For Acrobat.

I also use Qoppa PDF Studio Pro, which I find to be an excellent alternative at a much lower price, but in order to export to Word it requires that you have Word installed on your computer. You could edit PDFs with PDF Studio Pro. There are some other good PDF editors out there, most will probably covert to Word. In the past I've used PDFElement which was very inexpensive, but I was never comfortable with software that comes from HK, and definitely am no longer comfortable with it, so I've removed it. It was also more buggy and I found the interface to be quirky, so I just got a few Qoppa PDF Studio Pro licenses (on sale now).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

yes, IIRC if you press caps lock and then shift-numbers, it will place the nekuda that corresponds to that number under the letter you just typed. You can use On Screen Keyboard to see which nekudos are which letters.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Are you sure that still works? I've used it in the past, but I've tried it recently with no luck...

You can reach it via character map if the font has them. You can then creat hotkeys for them

Follow these instructions and it works!
https://superuser.com/questions/685582/how-to-add-hebrew-vowels-in-word-2010
Works! But the instructions are not so clear. You first have to add the "Hebrew" keyboard and only then will you be able to remove the "Hebrew (Standard)" keyboard.

It kind of says that, but missing the explanation of how to get to the keyboard to add/remove them
Quote
To restore this functionality, change your keyboard layout to Hebrew, and remove the Hebrew (Standard) layout.

"Change" is not the same as "install"

Or - and I think it's way better you just need to change what you're used to - use the new method for Nikud in Windows using the Right-Alt key (and there is no need for Caps-lock and then Shift).

It's done by pressing the AltGr (right side Alt) key with the key (Hebrew key) with the name of the Nekuddah, see this chart:

Impossibly unintuitive, but definitely better the before.

I still believe Davka Writer is the best for hebrew text.
