Typed a hebrew document (test with questions) every time i save it switches itself over to english formst starting on the english side of the page and messing up the lines.
1) how do i prevent that ?
2) is there a way to automatically switch it back rather than retyping it all ?

Select all the text, then click the "paragraph" button on the "Home" tab. Then select "direction right-to-left".

Seems like Microsoft is phasing out Publisher. I got an email that 365 will no longer support Publisher beginning October 2026 (next year), and that I should convert all Publisher files to other formats.

I'm going to assume that my PC-installed version of Publisher will still work, no?

Of course, except if you update the Office package by mistake and they remove it with an update.

Doesn't fix the problem fully, it changes the direction but e.g. the ?? At the end stayed at the end of the line rather than after the words of the queation.

You need to get the ?? marked as being hebrew.

Type it while still in Hebrew mode (language), vs typing it after switching back to English.
Periods and spaces can do the same thing and it gets weird sometimes.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Idk why that happened, does it help if you delete the question marks and re-type them in hebrew?

Normally, selecting all and choosing the RTL should fix it. If it doesn't maybe there is some other issue.

If you are able to share the file, maybe someone can check it out.

A bit different than the previous question, I think it may have been addressed earlier:

If Hebrew text somehow switched to English nonsense, is there a shortcut to convert it back?

Try pasting it in a google search and see if it fixes it

I feel like this needs more info, that you may (at least to a certain extent) have.

How/when did it switch, and what does the nonsense look like?

Possible to share the file?
