That lounge has been closed DTC with no reopening date in sight.

This has nothing to do with LAX.
EWR/IAD/IAD/ORD are doing significantly better than LAX/SFO and will reopen much sooner.

I was there last week. Polaris lounge is closed but United Club is open.
At united club they had:
Chips (few different kinds/varieties)
salsa
crackers
Oreo's
cereal
Fresh fruit
