I'll start: As an AA EX Plat will they do complimentary upgrades to Premium economy or Business class on international routes? Not clear from their website, it says does not apply to all routes

update: didn’t see an option to be added to the upgrade list for premium or biz

No, that's what SWUs are for. No US airline has comp longhaul international upgrades.

The ones we get are useless. Can only upgrade from the most expensive fares, which basically cost more than J fares these days.

Ouch. UA/DL work from mid-tier fares. AA works on all fares.

You don't say. It's very frustrating..

I must have received 14 to date - i probably used a couple for upgrades to First back in the days.. and over the last few years i tried to sell them to TAs but they didn't want them, even for free

Ive been trying to understand Same Day changes benefit as it seems on popular routes i.e. nyc - mia/fll or lax/sfo the  cheap flights and/or saver availability is usually alot easier to find on the  early morning flights or other undesirable times .
Being that there are so many flights per day on these routes i was thinking it would be great if i can book the bad time and use the sdc(same Day change) perk to get my desired flight (obviously pending availability) .
I haven't been able to find clear answers from my research so i am posting here

Im specifically asking re united with silver /*a gold status and jetblue with mosaic
My questions are as follows  :

A. If you have free sdc does that mean that the FARE difference is waived or just the change FEE ?

B. Is the earliest time frame this can be done the day of/before the flight or do they allow even earlier?

C. Does it make any difference if you booked the flight using partner miles

You can make the change within 24 hours of the flight time, to any other flight the same day of original flight, with no added costs.

Regardless how you paid for the flight, miles or cash.

Basically I'm asking if i can switch to any flight that has a seat available in my class or its restricted to fare class availability  i.e if i booked an award flight does the new flight also have to have award availability at the time I'm trying to change or if it just simply if there's a seat i can get it

I have a newbie question.

I've been using up my AmEx points and will soon have to pay to fly.

My main destination (from NYC) is Israel (~4 times a year) and maybe once or twice a year to Europe. All business class.

Any suggestions on which program to join before I start buying? Which and how much would get me to a status that would give me free business upgrades?

I don't mind single stopovers enroute to Israel.

I know people that always fly united and they say they get free upgrades. True? And how does one get such status? And is united the best option?

(I didn't see this discussed elsewhere. If it was please post links)

I received two (2) separate emails stating that my status at Delta will be extended until Jan 2023.
When it wasn't, I called and texted (yes HUCA) and they keep saying it's a mistake and I didn't qualify based on the limited number of flights in 2021.

I sent screenshots of the email, to no avail.

Any recourse?
