Recommendation for converting MKV to MP3

Hi - I regularly receive shiurim in MP4 format which I convert to MP3 so that I can listen without video. I just received a shiur which is MKV and I am looking for a safe freeware program to do the conversion or a website that is safe and which wont add in advertising.

 is amazing. Safe, free and converts files simultaneously which speeds things up significantly.

On the simpler side is

Any Video Converter is by far the best, simplest, and most powerful completely free program I've used. I've been using it for almost 10 years.

Highly recommend!

Hi everyone and thank you for all of your responses.

The admin for the shiur also told me about using VLC to convert and I tried it and it worked perfectly.
