Seems like Senate President Sweeny is losing! This is a crazy historic thing! The guy was a shoe-in to be the next governor of NJ.

McAullife is toast

I would have thought Murphy was toast the way the Vaad was buttering him.

this is a joke. I know nothing of the Vaad, Lakewood politics, or NJ politics beyond what I've skimmed in this forum

this looks like the R got 30,908 votes with 72.85%
but NY times is reporting way different numbers

looks like media is reporting mistaken numbers others on Twitter also noticed the discrepancy

it makes no sense as the local elections have way more votes and people don't just not vote for the governor

Someone on twitter said that the numbers that they counted are only the mail in which would make a lot of sense as mail in usually favors Ds by a little

The big test will be when they lose a local election. (HH almost pulled it off in his heydey and Steven Langert actually beat the vaad).

Additionally if Murphy wins they can point out that he ran well ahead of Biden did against Trump, taking credit for all those votes, and also take credit for the low turnout.

Bergen also has funny numbers.

I think DDHQ may be the best place now: https://results.decisiondeskhq.com/nov-2-2021-elections

according to their count Murphy just pulled ahead and most of the remaining uncounted votes seem to be in Dem areas

Decision Desk, which seems to have much more ballots included in their tally, just put Murphy in the lead, with many votes still outstanding in Essex and Union, which skew heavily Democrat. There are Republican places outstanding also, but doesn't seem as significant as the D places.

Given the counties still outstanding, I would put my money ($5) on a Murphy victory, by maybe 2 or 3 points, though I definitely am not ready to call the race. But remember the Monmouth Poll with Murphy winning by 11 points? Good ol' days!
The polls are always, to keep Republicans home.
Remember when Clinton was beating Trump by 15 percent in the polls?

Why are their numbers so much different than everyone else?

They are generally much quicker than the big-name sites. In fact, some news outlets, like Vox, started getting data from them.

I think they have people calling the election offices, rather than waiting for them to post results online.
