It's looking increasingly likely that the vaad endorsement actually affected the outcome of the election. While many like to point out that the vaad only controls a few thousand vote, they actually sway the election by 2x the number of votes they control.

If the vaad controls 3k voters, plus because of the controversy another 4k voters stayed home, that swings the tally by 10k votes.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

What’s the threshold for a runoff in NJ?

Partially true,

The 33% Lakewood turnout is inexcusable though

Speaking for myself: when I saw the hours long wait at my polling station, I left. I don't have that much free time in my day.

Mail in vote doesn't take up any time of your day

True, and I will probably do that in the future. In the past I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to vote, so I didn't bother with a mail in ballot.

It's strange, when I voted in Somerset, the guy said that it's been busy all day, I was shocked when I saw the Lakewood turnout was only 33%

Why is it that those with the smallest voting block always like to claim they changed the outcome of the election?  :)
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

This is partially an effect of the voter registration drives. There can easily be a few thousand dead registrations at BMG. Only half of the mail in ballots that came to my house were actually eligible.

In the 2020 presidential election, 37,000 voted in Lakewood.
Yesterday, 18,000 voted in Lakewood.

Why didn't you go to early voting? I was in and out in 5 minutes.

What block are you referring to?
This election in very close. Every vote counts. Literarily.

No more impactful, actual voter suppression than long lines. The fact that 33% turnout (lower if you remove early voting/mail in) resulted in huge lines is completely unacceptable. That the hours weren’t extended by the NJ courts is unforgivable.

It’s due to both of campaigns spending a lot of money and effort to win over Lakewood voters because they are the most likely to switch sides in an election. And when it’s this tight of a race, literally every vote counts.
