Can anyone make a recommendation for a portable "quiet" generator? For household use.

You plan on running the whole house off it or a couple of items?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

If you really want to do it right, and are willing to pay for it, get one that hooks up to household gas.
There's never been gas interruptions, yet we have gasoline shortages in circumstances that cause a need for a generator.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

A few items like some lights heater fridge...not the whole house. I know they have some that can run on gas and or LP. It is an expensive item and just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with a particular one vs just buying one that looks good.

Yes portable and quite, maybe also called "whisper".

The thread posted above is from 2012...not much relevant info in there, but thanks anyway.
