Monitor as a Picture frame
« on: October 23, 2021, 10:09:08 PM »
I'd like to use a computer/TV monitor as a picture frame.

Do not want it to be hooked up to a computer.

From basic online search (and really no tech knowledge) it seems it would be possible using a screen with usb/hdmi input and an amazon fire. Anyone here have any ideas how this would work and can point me towards the products I need?

Or possibly another way to go about it?

Thank you

If the monitor has a USB slot you load a picture that way.

There still needs to be a system to run it...a stand alone monitor won't just play pics...

How about getting a digital photo frame?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Not true I've displayed a menu in the past. Most screens can open folders.

Photos would have to all be decent resolution or they’d look grainy. Maybe there’s software you can run on Raspberry Pi or similar to continuously play a slideshow.

Whatever you do, don’t let one static image display on your LCD, or it could get burned in.
