Anyone have experience with shul management systems such as shulcloud or alternatives (shalomcloud, rakefet, shluchim)?
Please share your experiences (l'toeles) and recommendations.

I don't think he works there anymore. If I'm thinking of the same guy as you - last name starts with an H.

And how does it compare to quickbooks online (as it relates to managing the accounts, billing, A/R, and other bookkeeping)?

This should serve as a rant/plea to all developers of shul management software.
The prices that is being charge are outrageous for a midsize shul.
These prices can only be afforded, either by out of town shul, where you charge $100 monthly for membership, or a huge Kehilla with 1000+ members.
Prices for a decent software/website are minimum few hundred  dollars per month!, An average local shul with 100-150 members that barely pay membership can't offered these prices.

I have a pricing structure, that I think will make sense for all parties. If it's nogeiah for you, please pm

you can definitely get free or close to free ones, but they come with aggravation, you cant expect someone to have a dedicated staff helping you for almost free

You get what you pay for, systems development, support, hosting, etc. all cost $$$.

If you want to discuss the merits of any specific pricing structure you think could work better, feel free to propose it publicly.

I just started using Wave accounting. But we don’t really have dues or anything. And our member list is a Google Sheet  ::)

Flattered is not the word that comes to mind, if shulcloud was good we wouldn't be looking for alternatives...

What are you looking for that shulcloud doesn't offer?

Wave is free (only using them for payroll and CC processing cost money), but it's simply an online accounting suite, but it doesn't do anything else other than record invoices and payments.

It sounds like just the price is the issue...
