Here, in 15 days you get 200% of what you're putting in, with minimum cash out of pocket. With most other bonuses, after 90 or 180 days, you get 3% or so, with multiple requirements, including sinking $15k or so into those accounts for that entire period.

Scale matters.

If I will give you 300% for $5. How much time and effort effort would you put into it?

While I have opened multiple accounts with Fidelity, it still takes a couple of minutes (It is quite fast and streamlined). I actually like their Cash Management account and their HSA account. I haven't found anything comparable anywhere else.

No SUB. Each account was opened because it made sense at the time. Very few were closed. I have a virtually dormant Citibank checking account (probably my oldest) that is kept fee free with monthly direct deposit ($1 ACH from USAA) and online bill pay ($1 towards my electric bill).

No fees for anything (as far as I can see), including outgoing wire transfers. And since I have other accounts with Fidelity, it's easy to make transfers, IRA contributions, etc.

That, and they seem to process incoming EFT/ACH quickly too, not floating your money like some other FIs. See below, per ExGingi they seem to hold funds for 4 days...

They also have very simple incoming EFT, where you can draft another account of yours with just a routing and account number without having to verify it's yours.

But for the EFT drafting of external accounts (amounts up to $5,000) I prefer USAA (they also credit incoming EFTs early), as they give immediate funds availability, while Fidelity puts a 4 day hold on the money.

You can open a custodial account with no minimum age but iinm they’re not eligible for the bonus
