another operational meltdown
cancelled 400 flights today and 250 more tomm. due to staffing issues caused by bad weather

Just got my flight from Mia to NYC cancelled by AA. they didnt have pilots to fly the plain. what an emberrassment.

I can't even get my luggage. have to book a hotel on my own (are they responsible for paying for this).

should i be getting some sort of compensation?

quick update - was able to get on a 9am flight and they figured out how to find a pilot.
Bags didn't come with my flight, even though i was assured they would. i'm told they will deliver them, but we shall see.
I guess it could have been worse. only out couple of hundred bucks.

no they updated their terms they don't even have to put you on the next available flight this is what our tax dollars go to now
