Look at you, making me do TimT work over here

This happened more than 4 years ago. I wrote up "the story" then  - if you have any interest, read it here.

The case was about this:

Optics. Someone claiming self-defense doesn't shoot someone in the back.
Optics aren't facts. I agree it's bad optics, but this is far from an optics case.

We were already warned about watching snippets. I guess you didn't get the memo.
Thank you ;D

Literally everyone is. Pick your poison ;D

I've been watching on Yahoo finance via Youtube because they don't seem to be adding any commentary.

NAL, but I assume the defense must be supremely confident in him if they are letting him testify

High risk move but to claim self-defense he needs to be heard.

I find it difficult to be 'supremely confident' in anyone during cross. I'm sure a talented prosecutor can depict him as a monster with the right line of questions, even if it doesn't change the legal aspect of the case.

In my case, the defense made it clear the defendant would not be testifying, and plenty of experts have said in this case the case has been more than made already without needing his testimony.

After how they made themselves look like douches yesterday being so hostile, I think they will try do this and it will backfire.

The flip side is the defense is not "supremely confident" in how the case is going.

lol, they have been in the courtroom and understand English, so I don't see how they would have come to such a conclusion

I'm sure a talented prosecutor can ...

I guess the question is if there is a talented prosecutor on this case.

For those not watching, he just broke down crying uncontrollably when the lawyer asked him to describe the first shooting. Judge called a 10 minute break.

Guilty or not, he likely has PTSD. Not sure what the play is here that made this worth it for the defense, but I have to imagine they have something crazy big if they felt this was worth it.

Ok he just did a complete 180 with his emotions. I am not buying it.
Before you jump all over me this what jury members have to look at. They will all come to different conclusions.
