Ok so basically he shot the first two without a gun being pointed at him and for all we know never seen a gun at that point.
The guys in the video I think are drinking kool-aid for getting so excited.  :)
Woah, lots of assumptions there. I believe they know what went on with those, but this witness was only testifying about the 3rd encounter, which he admitted was an act of self defense. I personally wouldn't concur anything about the previous 2 individuals from that. If you happen to have info about them (I believe it's out there, but haven't seen it) that'll tell you about the prior encounters.

Depending, of course, if a shooter defending himself against someone trying to stop him can be called self-defense.

I must say, it is extremely surprising how many high profile individuals on both sides, felt it appropriate to publicly take a side on this prior to any of the real details being put forth. I'm learning new things daily here, as is just about everyone, and I'm a bit upset that I made any assumptions myself.

Of course. I'm not saying innocent by any means. There is a lot more to see before that can be said. Gaige testified only that when he was shot, it was after he pointed his gun at Kyle, and that Kyle was not pointing a gun at him, until he pulled his out. Prior to that, many things could've happened that can make it go in many different directions.

Yup. There is so much to weed through over here from what actually happened to how that may legally affect the outcome.

Which depends on whether the shooter acted lawfully in shooting the first person. But some people seem to believe that the fact that Rittenhouse was there with a gun means that he is guilty regardless of what else happened.

I do not know the law there, but when someone is coming hostilely with a semiautomatic into a crowd should not be called self defense.

Who are you talking about? Both Gaige and Kyle (as well as many many many many others there) had sem autos on them. Something that was omitted previously, Gaige's gun permit was expired, so he was not carrying lawfully. Additionally, he has a $10mm settlement riding on a guilty verdict for Rittenhouse. Some key facts I only learned after watching the actual trial.

Any good recap articles of what happened in court today?

I wouldn't take an articles word. Watch clips of the actual trial. So easy to spin 3 words into a story that fits your narrative, and both sides are running with it right now. Overall, today is going very well for the defense, but doesn't necessarily mean anything in the greater scheme of things. Time will tell.

From what I'm seeing, at least one of the the 2 previous individuals physically assaulted him with what I believe was a skateboard. Don't know much more than that.

Did you see any other testimony about a gun being pointed at any point besides this guy at Kyle?

How do you define "hostilely"?

Were they assaulting him or using necessary force to prevent him from murdering another unarmed man? The way things are worded is important.  ;)

No, Gaige (the individual who survived being shot by Kyle) testified that Kyle only shot him after he (Gaige) pointed his gun at Kyle, and Kyle did not shoot him prior to that. This Gaige guy doesn't seem to be all that smart being that he's been actively tweeting about this case in ways that anyone with a brain or competent lawyer would know not to. Doesn't mean he's guilty, but definitely not the brightest bulb in the batch.

As to your second question, no I didn't but I haven't been following super closely. I'd imagine guns were being pointed a lot that night.
