How many people are going to die from the ensuing protests and rioting?

They paid for their life because they attacked a guy with a gun.

And he pays for his (slightly less) poor judgment by the past year and living the rest of his life with the knowledge that he was involved with the death of 2 people.
Not very even.

Are we getting back into the Israeli Palestinian war discussion about whether there's anything inequitable and unjust about having an uneven casualty count if each side is putting in equal effort to harm the other?

One did something stupid, while the others decided to attack someone with a gun.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

The above tweets prove exactly what I said previously. There is no justice. A politician from a completely unrelated case will publicly say the jury failed. You never win. Never.

I am not advocating the death penalty or even jail time. I just wish  that someone who has shown such poor judgement with guns be restricted from having one.

How much of that is about this case, and how much about your general belief that guns should be more restricted?

Come on. He walked into what he knew was a super hostile environment with an AR15 and engaged with and provoked violent angry drunk people from the other side. They never thought he'd shoot them. He came in prepared to do so.

Like I've said all along, in the moment it was self defense. But let's not downplay his sheer recklessness and stupidity.

All these disgusting politicians claiming a miscarriage to justice, so they don't believe in the justice system now because the outcome wasn't like they hoped for? ::)

Don't worry, what usually happens is, a couple groping accusations later they change their mind.

I agree, but CV would point out you probably didn't say the same thing in reverse to those claiming miscarriage of justice at Chauvin's guilty verdict.

ETA: Hmmm
In a normal case this would be an issue, but not when the guilty verdict was racially biased. welcome to 2021

What a terrible take. You are equating someone like Rosenbaum who assaulted someone with KR who stupidly put himself in a dangerous situation.

You don’t deserve punishment for being stupid. You deserve punishment for doing something illegal. On the other hand, even though KR deserves no punishment, I would not shed any tears for someone stupid like him if he died that night.

stupid + illegal <> punishment

It wasn't stupid in a "foolish me!" way, it was stupid in a "acting recklessly and provoking a dangerous situation" way
