What a terrible take. You are equating someone like Rosenbaum who assaulted someone with KR who stupidly put himself in a dangerous situation.

You don’t deserve punishment for being stupid. You deserve punishment for doing something illegal. On the other hand, even though KR deserves no punishment, I would not shed any tears for someone stupid like him if he died that night.
Rosenbaum did something illegal?

I don't think his point was about legality, rather about stupid actions (both sides) deserve to win stupid prizes, and KR's stupid prize isn't as stupid as JR's

That's life in our ועל חרבך תחיה country. A teenage bum can legally roam the streets armed with a machine gun, and then the whole country turns upside down when he didn't act like a 20 year veteran sheriff. Change the stupid laws once and for all.

I agree, but CV would point out you probably didn't say the same thing in reverse to those claiming miscarriage of justice at Chauvin's guilty verdict.

ETA: Hmmm
You are quoting me saying that I had an issue with jurors being racially biased. That the jurors attend a blm riot with blm written on their tshirt

Did you see what consequence I wish he would get?

That gun laws should change in the US, and that he deserves as much punishment as someone that got killed.

It wasn't stupid in a "foolish me!" way, it was stupid in a "acting recklessly and provoking a dangerous situation" way

Besides for holding a gun, what did he do to provoke anyone?

Rosenbaum did something illegal?

I don't think his point was about legality, rather about stupid actions (both sides) deserve to win stupid prizes, and KR's stupid prize isn't as stupid as JR's

Assault is illegal. And I strongly disagree that stupid people “deserve stupid prizes”. The quote is “play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”  Not that you deserve it, but you should expect it.

Machine gun?

You sound like the liberals who talk about gun control and don't know anything about guns

Perhaps something is way off with your ability to coherently express your point, because apparently I’m not the only one with difficulty understanding your point scattered into 10 posts.

I don't know if that makes me a liberal but I definitely don't know nothing about guns. I've read on the case a bit and gathered it was a terrible killing machine, not your regular pistol.

Precisely what the prosecution was aiming for. Not saying you're wrong or right, but you have no facts and came to a conclusion. Don't comment on gun laws if you don't have an understanding of why they are there to begin with.

Didn't come to no conclusion on the actual case and I don't care. The kid was allowed to carry his firearm legally during a heated protest and I don't need anything more. I am fully aware that staunch pro gun people (even among frum yidden ::) ) will never understand this.

My point was that you are coming to conclusions on matters you know practically nothing about. That is all. Liberty has consequences. Nothing is perfect. Sometimes we have what seems like a stupid law, because it was created to serve a specific purpose, but ends up having "side effects". Our legal system can't be perfect, and just as in Jewish law, there bare rules you need to follow, or exceptions that can be granted, even when seemingly applicable, the same happens in our countrys/states laws.

Did it occur to you that people brought guns precisely because of the heated protest? If the police are deliberately not protecting you, nor preventing the heated protest, do you lose your rights to protect your property? Instead of rushing to remove rights, we should prevent heated protests and protect the victims, and ensure that we don’t have to fall back to our occasionally ugly, yet important 2nd amendment rights.

You realize that he is not a local.

He lived 20 miles away but how is that relevant. Are you suggesting a law that someone cannot bring any outside help to protect their property? If I have family visiting from California they cannot assist? Or do we need a specially carved out law to ensure that a 17 year old that is traveling more than 10 miles cannot assist to protect someone’s property during a heated protest for a black person that was killed?

Unlike the hypocrites, as I stated earlier I would have no issue with the jury's verdict.

What I do take issue with is the ignorant statements about guns and what an individuals gun rights are. I am not going to quote anyone because there are so many I can quote. I only hope you educate yourself before you purchase a gun.

Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Are you being intentionally asinine?

How about that the maturity expected before someone matches down the street with a loaded assault rifle should be at least the same as buying a beer? Not even talking about ownership or possession, just open carry.
