After my card being restricted I sent them the 3 months of bank statements and now I’m waiting for a answer. Is there something bad that will go on my credit if they shut me down? Like a negative mark or something? Is it better to me to close the card myself if I think they might actually shut me down? Or it’s the same thing either way?

Is there any bank that pulls your credit report from all 3 credit bureaus instantly approves  you for a whopping $20k only to shut you down a week later to go fishing?

I applied for the Venture X and when I received it a couple of weeks ago and tried to activate it they told me there was a fraud concern and I needed to upload 3 months of bank statements. They also mentioned something about verifying income. The email that I received with the upload link stated that the requested documentation was for "proof of payment". I called back and they told me to just submit the bank statements.

I called back today to see what is happening, and not only did they shut down the new Venture X account, they also shut down my original Capital One Venture card which I had had for a couple of years without any problems at all.

One additional point: One of the three bank accounts that I submitted was under my wife's name (same last name), because I was including all household income when I applied for the Venture X and entered my income.

They would not give me any information over the phone about why my documentation was unsatisfactory. And now I have no Capital One cards. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The letter that I received says that my account was closed because of violations of the Capital One Customer Agreement.

I certainly did not do anything unusual with the card. Is there any way to get them to tell me what the violations were?

Also, any suggestions about my Rewards points that have disappeared?

I'm having trouble with a reservation that I booked with Turkish on a united flight, they reserved me a flight and I didn't pay for it yet. I'm trying to pay for it now and they are saying that the flight is not available anymore even though they gave me a reservation. They cant transfer me to a supervisor cuz they said it's not allowed. I checked on united and the flight is running. Any ideas?

Find a similar flight on capital one travel that is available to buy from them, then call them you should be able to get it for the same price as long as it's not more than $1000 more than the one you booked. The way I did it was I booked it (free 24hr cancelation) then called them to refund the difference between what I originally paid to hold, and the new flight. Bust be similar itinerary. I was able to get free business class this way.

Freezing a price guarantees the price for a specified ticket (up to a maximum refund cap, if applicable), but does NOT guarantee availability of the frozen flight itinerary at the time of booking the ticket. In the case that a frozen itinerary is canceled, becomes unavailable, or no longer has available seats remaining, you will be notified upon attempting to exercise the frozen itinerary. If available, you will be offered similar flights by Capital One Travel as alternatives to the canceled or unavailable itinerary. You may exercise your frozen price for a suggested similar flight, subject to the maximum service cap and to availability. If you do not accept that offer, or Capital One Travel does not offer an alternative similar flight, Capital One Travel will refund the service fee paid to freeze the original flight price. Upon purchase, you acknowledge and agree that this shall be your sole and exclusive remedy for the unavailability of the selected flight.
Upon freezing a price for multiple tickets together, the multiple frozen prices may not be exercised individually and must be exercised together. If a flight does not have sufficient seats available for the frozen prices to be exercised together, you will be offered the same alternatives as detailed in Section 3 for similar flights and a refund.

Does capital one have their own in-house travel agency, like Amex? Or do they use something, like Chase with Expedia.

I think the DOT only requires for international.
At least 7 days before departure.
Airlines only not the travel agencies.

They're quoting the Same as Chase UR Site whichever they use. I noticed when a flight I was booking was $4 more with only Chase and C1 compared to all the other booking agencies. Which does Chase use?
