Should the vacation rental credit post right away with the charge? My card should have it and it's been a few days since the charge posted without the credit showing. Is there a way to check whether my card has the offer?

@Dan So I've just booked refundable hotel through cap1 travel recieved travel credit and cancelled booking and got my refund. Looks like a great way to take advantage of travel credit without traveling.

I never used return protection on a cc so not sure how it works, I wanna buy a shoe now that's final sale, would I be able to use the Venture X return protection if it doesn't fit?

You will have to pay to ship the item back to VISA.

If you have an amex card that has return protection they are much easier to deal with and often you won't have to ship anything back.

its been a week since the airbnb charge posted, still no credit.
how long does it usually take?

what happens if I make refundable vrbo booking with this cc and get a $200 credit and also if i make a travel purchase through capital travel and get a $300 credit  then close cc

can i then still cancel these bookings?

Your refunds would go back to the (closed) card, wouldn't they? If Cap1 claws back those credits for cancelled bookings then they could still do that on a closed card one would assume (though I don't know if they claw back)

Closed doesn't mean 0 balance. How were you planning to get your refund then?

I'm still trying to figure our best way to use my cards benefits for possible pesach trip
i still have available the $200 vrbo, airb credit, $300 travel credit and sign up points but plan on closing the card in Feb 2023 soo  if i book for example car rental through capital travel and use my points can I still cancel if I find better price.  I guess the points will be refunded as a credit?

Wanted to use my $300 credit however the hotel I was looking to book was significantly cheaper on priceline. I noticed a banner that u can price match from any other travel site I called and a nice csr submitted the price match and got the confirmation a few hours later
