If you can spend the $300 on the portal then this is the card to keep.
Agreed. The $300 travel credit + the 10,000 annual bonus points (worth $100) = $400 covering the $395 annual fee. In essence making it a free 2% cash back card with some nice benefits.

Why not just book anything refundable, get the $300 credit yourself and cancel after the $300 posts?

You'll never be able to get the full $300 value when aell8ng
Because I'm not sure in how long I'll use that credit

What credit? Book something that's fully refundable to original payment

Anyone else have issues prying the $200 vacation rental credit out of them? My annual fee was charged on 3/11/22, so I'm certain my application date was within the dates this credit was applicable. It's been months since I made an Airbnb charge, multiple calls, and nothing doing. The CS just seems utterly incompetent. Like they don't seem to know anything about it. One time they were confusing it with the $300 travel credit, another time they got mixed up because of an unrelated credit balance refund for a similar amount.

It's been almost 3 months for me.
They simply told me it can take 3 billing cycles and that there's nothing they can do.
Not helpful.

What is the exact deadline for the $300 annual travel credit, and the one-time $200 Airbnb credit?
I signed up 11/23/21 but wasn't billed the AF until the second statement.

Also, does an Airbnb gift card work? Any other easy uses, besides selling it here?

booked on airbnb.com
charge appeared as airbnb
charge posted aug 22
still no credit

yes. AIRBNB. Aug 5th. Still waiting.
Appears on statement as AIRBNB other travel. $253.34

I have 2 Air bnb charges from 7/20 and 8/5 (on 2 accounts) that I still haven't gotten credit for.

Did any of you guys end up getting the credit? if so, how long did it end up taking?

So, um... actually might have come out in good shape on this. I see 2 transactions for $200 credit. I made an airbnb charge in July that I've been waiting on (and calling for), but I also just made a VRBO charge last week. Seems like the latter triggered the automatic credit right around the same time as they put in a manual credit for the earlier charge. I guess we'll see what happens, but for not I have the credit x2. Only thing I'm still waiting for is another $200+ for the travel credit from air tix I bought through the portal.

1) from what date to applications for this card no longer receive $200 vacation credit?

2) is the vacation credit an annual thing? Or just the first year?

Can anyone advise as to the timeline/deadline for this credit?
I signed up and got approved for the Venture X on 11/23/21. AF didn't post until 2/19/22 (which was the last day of the 3rd statement).

I have the same question as to the deadlines for the $300 travel credit, and the latest to convert to a free card.
1) from what date to applications for this card no longer receive $200 vacation credit?

2) is the vacation credit an annual thing? Or just the first year?

I just called Cap1, the supervisor said that my deadline for charges to post to get both the $300 travel credit and $200 Airbnb credit will be 11/23/22.

They also said they've never seen the annual fee get billed 2 months late like mine did and I apparently just lucked out on that (they seem to be assuming the renewal AF will also be February).

Regarding downgrading - the rep said can downgrade and receive AF refund within 30 days, contrary to what @Dan wrote. Any clarity on this? (Rep did say subject to whatever downgrade options their system offers at the time.)
It's actually important for me to be able to downgrade the card, because until I receive the credit, I can't cancel (or else I don't know how I'd ever get the credit).
