i spoke to them and they said they will prorate for downgradeing was a few weeks ago so call to find out

i spoke to them this week they said they can only prorate if you close the account not for downgrading so i downgraded before the AF hit

I thought you have 30-40 days to close to get a full refund is that not true anymore?

what happens if I book a flight using the annual $300 credit and then cancel the card before the flight date.  Can/will they try and claw that $300 credit back?

is this even possible once the the flight i issued/ticketed with the airline?

you can read it that you can get a prorated refund as opposed to a full refund if you close without differentiating when you close it

I'm asking before the actual card arrives on my old cards it shows up

When I was approved for the venture x, I was able to get the virtual card right away.  This was in June/July 2023. 

When my wife was approved for a venture x, she never got the option.  This was in Nov/Dec 2023.

If I use the travel credit today for a flight in April and downgrade the card next week. Will there be any issues?
Also how many days before the AF posts is it recommended to downgrade?

anyone know the cancellation policies for flight booked through capital one travel portal if no insurance was bought and booked Alaska basic ticket.  Can i at least get a Alaska credit if I cancel?

I think I will end up keeping the card for another year.
$395-$100(10k points)-$230(id value the 300 credit at that rate for what one can sell it for)-$20(global entry price to sell at)= -45 for a premium card that offers return protection.

Yes, it a pain to ship items to them.
I was planning on getting amex blue cash preferred to use it for RP.

(I dont really need the % cashback at stores as I use gc purchased at staples using my ink cash card).

I agree, the 300 credit shouldn't be valued at $300.  $200-250 is good range.

You can apply no problem.
