Any suggestions what to do when a child is climbing out of the full size crib? Under 2yo.

Tried taking the side off but understandingly can't stay put.

Besides a tent or sleeping sack does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe take the spring board away from the crib and place the mattress directly on the floor?  Has anyone done this

Put a chair next to it so they're less likely to get hurt?

Keep the door to their room closed?
