If they want to tax unrealized gains that is one thing. To single out certain individuals, not sure that is the right way to go.

I think this has a lot to do with it. But what exactly would he have done if the vote came out the other way? He already said he will need to sell stock when his options expire soon.

I was also wondering about that but from what I understand he sold stock from the options. My guess is they were probably given at the same time as Elon's and are also expiring soon.
