Looking to go in the end of the summer for ~10 days. Normally I can sneak points availability with WAJ or find a good deal with amex fh&r and piecemeal it together though (as anticipated) deals are tough to come by. Anyone have any success with deals in Jerusalem recently. Open to points or cash, more focused on relative value than price.

As an alternative option if nothing comes up, use chase points for a nice Airbnb at 1.5cpp?
They have good availability and there are some Apartments that are really nice compared to hotels at the same price point (no room service though)

For (lower budget) example, we stayed here and it’s actually as nice as the photos.

that's what we did for our upcoming trip in August. Found a 3bdr for 3 weeks for $3700 but when using UR, it's under $3000

The host of the unit I posted above (hadar) was excellent and he has a few places.

Places with no reviews are risky as they might be new and not have all the kinks worked out, or worse.

Maybe check if the host has great reviews on other places when a place has no reviews?

we are hoping to go to Israel right after sukkot. are hotels not generally available then? I'm looking online, specifically for Jerusalem and I'm not seeing much, at least ones that aren't ridiculously over priced

If it helps, I'm top tier at some hotel booking engines, so sometimes that means extra reductions, extra perks, upgrades, etc.

KD is grand and iconic with phenomenal service though it is old style.

Stayed at Hilton TLV two nights. Diamond member, was upgraded to 2 room corner suite, two bathroom. Service was very nice, every time we returned to the room there was another bottle of wine etc.

They were also very accommodating with parking, putting my car right in front of the hotel for my early morning departure

Would definitely return
