If I am staying in an Israeli hotel on a tourist visa and paying for other rooms for people with student visas, will there be VAT added on their rooms?

I'm assuming you have to give all passports at check-in?

any insights here? just checked in for 2 rooms six peiple at Dan Ruth hotel in tsfat and they want to charge tax on one room bc 1 out of six kids didnt have copy of visa on her (shes here on student visa). seems this link says the govt doesnt require evidence of visa's: https://www.gov.il/en/pages/vat-tourists-zero-rate
also took over an hour to check in. i used to love this place (still very nice)....

She's not eligible for it... kind of ruins it for everyone...
Maybe send her to sleep in the street for 5 minutes?

Somebody who's on a student visa is obligated to pay VAT.

Next time, hide her.

Wow thanks I had no idea! They didn’t hassle me at inbal with her they let her in free. Next time we are putting her in a box:)

Just wrapped up a few days ago David Citadel.
1. Location is amazing
2. View is amazing
3. Breakfast is top notch. Fresh eggs made to order. Tons of drink options and goes in from 7am-11.
4. Friday night meal very good. They charge an additional rate if you bring in guest not at the hotel. Also the meal is timed and after I think 2 hours they shut it down ( important if you go to kotel and take your time)
5. Entire staff is arabs. Didn't see one yid at all in on staff
6. Outdoor pool is nice
If you book with Amex platinum they will upgrade you to highest suite (if it's available)

At kempinski Tlv right now very minor upgrades even off Amex though there were seafront rooms available. Beautiful hotel

Titanium status gets 2 category upgrade into Executive Suite, which is a beautiful corner.
Other upgrades only go into regular rooms, no suites.

Here's a good Rule of thumb: If it doesnt mention the kashrus prominently on the website - it's at best Rabbanut.
(Most hotels in IL are not trying to cater to frum/dati jews)

Thoughts on Prima Kings vs. Prima Royale for Sukkos (either the whole time or only the first days)? Specifically, how clean, nice, and spacious are the rooms, and how good is the food?  I am already well that neither are luxury hotels, so no need to point that out. The Prima Royale seems to be less expensive, so I'm leaning towards staying there.

P.S.: I'm not asking about location or level of Kashrus--I'm already knowledgable and fine with both of those.

I was there Friday night Erev pesach, was sold out, food was very good but not exceptional. Was all buffet (perhaps due to oncoming sedarim), with decent meat on carving station. Highlight was the cooked white fish (maybe tilapia) in green sauce.

No, you do not. Ritz-Carlton does not offer complimentary breakfast as a standard benefit for Marriott Bonvoy elite status.
