Looking for a very basic eilat hotel for next week.

I have a Citi $100 hotel credit to use off $500 booking.

Herbert Samuel is $286 a night I'll just book 2 there I guess.

Well last visit, my rate included breakfast which was solid, curious if anyone thinks it's worth paying more for?

back in the day we would call up and get a small suite at the club hotel cheap for 5 people, like $100 USD. its a 3 star but lots of pools (usually easy to find an empty one) and jacuzzis plus other things to do (at least 20 years ago...)

Was anyone at the Setai in Tel Aviv recently? How was it?

I just came back from a one night stay at the Setai Tel Aviv, through Amex FHR.
Booked a Deluxe Room – City View (base room + 1) and was upgraded to Executive Suite – Sea View (with access to the "business" lounge) which was great.

Location is amazing, on the edge of Old Yafo and the tip of southern Tel Aviv and the beach. Beautiful views all around, walking distance to lots of attractions, and tons of scooters parked right outside. There's also a lot of unadvertised free parking right by the hotel, so don't be enticed by their 80NIS a day parking garage...

We loved the fact that it was built over a historic building, and still retains some of the original architecture - although it does sometimes lead to some strange quirks in the layout of the hotel.

Service-wise we felt it to be a little less polished and refined vs. the Ritz Carlton Herzliya.
Food was good, and the breakfast spread was larger and more varied then at the Ritz Carlton, (although the baked good at the RC were definitely better)
Room service menu is the same as the dairy lobby bar menu (sans some sushi options), fairly limited.
Infinity pool is nice, but pool was fairly busy all day.

 Looked at Marriot, Hyatt, Wyndham, IHG, nothing avlb.
  Only only hotel i saw was WA in Jerusalem/Yerushalyim.

  Or any recommendations for those who went recently for 10 days or so?
