What's the expense ratio of Cap1 360 savings?

Can you clarify what you mean? If Cap1 advertises 4% apy you won’t actually net 4%? They have a fee?

Can you clarify what you mean by posting the expense ratio on Fidelity MM fund?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

You mentioned that there are no fees with Fidelity, so I clarified that there is an expense ratio fee.

The feds did cut interest rates the past year, so it makes sense to follow the market
I have a 360 checking and 360 performance savings and I'm really happy with their accounts, super easy to transfer between checking and savings. not worth for me another 0.5% annually to play around with multiple banks, at least with the amount I keep in my savings account
i agree with you at 3.7 but if in a year from now its at 1.5 youll be kicking yourself you didnt take care of it now (unless you dont have real money in there but if you (are like me and) have a nice chunk of money in there that you put in when they were giving 5..)

+1 the actual accounts are great

Wrong. It is not a fee.

Posting it is like posting an expense item from the bank's Profit & Loss statement.

The expense ratio reduces your earnings. Vanguard offers similar funds with lower fees, which means you'll earn more.

Not necessarily.

I've posted other funds that have higher 7-day yields. I didn't check the expense ratio. It shouldn't be a consideration with this type of fund. The returns posted are net of expenses.

Not necessarily.

I've posted other funds that have higher 7-day yields. I didn't check the expense ratio. It shouldn't be a consideration with this type of fund. The returns posted are next of expenses.

VMRXX is one of the highest yielding Money Market funds I've found available to the general public on several platforms (E*Trade being one of them). I don't need to look at expense ratios to know this, I just look at the current 7-day yield.

That being said, the Vanguard Cash Management Account isn't entirely fee-free like the Fidelity Cash Management account (wire fees being notable).

I have no skin in the game and nothing to lose or gain whichever way one goes, just pointing out facts, and currently, 4.27% VMRXX 7-day yield seems higher than Cap1 360 savings.

https://investor.vanguard.com/accounts-plans/vanguard-cash-plus-account

I was stating that with Fidelity one can buy t-bills at auction with auto-roll and never lose a day of yield. I am unfamiliar with Vanguard's platform.

Below is the current SECONDARY MARKET and Brokered CDs yield table from Fidelity today.

I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

As previously mentioned in another thread, for those that don't want to do t bills, Vusxx is a solid option with a lower ER than VMRXX. Also(like t bills) mostly or fully exempt from state and local taxes.

Capital One performance has a great option if you keep your money in there for 3 months, depending how much you got to store away, for example for 100k even though they're only offering 3.7%, with another $1,500 bonus after 3 months, that's more than you'll get elsewhere

If you use your social to sign up they will use it for the account number and in your emails the last 4 numbers will be visible. I do not know of this makes any difference to anything.

Seriously? People just fall for advertising claims without checking?

WealthFront pays 4%-4.5%

There are places to check best rates.
Let me try to explain
Capital one bought out ING Which was a hysa that fluctuated for 20+years up and down always giving the going hy rate (usually the top prior to capital one purchase) Their rates continued fluctuating after the capital one purchase. When you log into your account on Capital one the rates are not in front of your face you need to click on account info etc. so if for the last 20 years your rate fluctuated with the market and you see advertisements of the capital one hysa rate Why would you assume that you are not getting the rate being advertised. Anyone who had a Cap1 savings account for a bunch of years got tricked, some for a few months some for years! It was a really sly move on cap1 part!
They literally screwed their most loyal long time customers - a pathetic move on their part!

I just noticed the rate dropped both in Cap 1 and cit.

I wish I had enough money in either of them to really care lol I like Cap 1 because I can transfer out of venmo to there and sock away savings. I guess I could technically move it from Capital One to CIT, but I'm too lazy for a couple of pennies
