Google Drive Spam - how to block or get rid?

Recently I've been getting notifications of a file shared with me (on one of my Google accounts) which is spam (of the type I wouldn't want to see and would like to protect others from seeing).

While Google seems to do a decent job keeping my email box clean of this kind of trash, I have not found a way to keep these things from popping up on my Google Drive.

Funny I just noticed files like you described that were shared with me on google drive, but I didnt see any notifications that it was shared with me. Could it be the email went to spam?

Probably won't help you much as they use a different email every time

I wonder why they can't just offer a setting "allow sharing from 1) anyone 2) people in my contacts 3) people in my contacts and people I've emailed before"

Definitely should be able to restrict who can share files. I haven't seen email notification about these. I get notifications on my phone Google Drive app.
