Residential tax abatement
« on: November 18, 2021, 11:41:39 PM »
I bought a house from a that has an enhanced star. The owner died 3 years ago and i just bought it about 5 months ago. The enhanced star was never removed and it still showes the previous owners info on acris. Was wondering if the city will make me pay up the taxes after it gets fixed and if they ever will figure it out

Why would the previous owner be listed on ACRIS if the deed was transferred to you?

Either way the mortgage escrow would pay the bill and only bill you at the next escrow reconciliation over 12 months.
