Open to unvaccinated travelers
« on: November 22, 2021, 11:27:37 PM »

As a US citizen, where can I travel as an unvaccinated/no antibody?
Would really love a good suggestion!

Starting the list:

Costa Rica
Colombia
South Africa

It changes often, but the 4 most consistent and easiest countries have been:

Colombia
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic
Mexico

All 4 of these countries do not even require a negative COVID test to fly in.

You will need for the return to the USA, unless you tested positive for COVID within the last 90 days, or if you fly to TIJ and cross the border overland.

(How? Are you a hermit? Asking seriously - this fascinates me; how have you avoided it for 18 months?)

Guatemala also has an exemption for those who had COVID in the last 90 days, similar to the USA. Just need to provide the positive and proof of recovery letter.

With a negative COVID test, there are dozens of other open countries.

I don't think this is accurate.
DR and CR definitely aren't free and clear to just fly in with no test.
Google each destination for their current requirements.
Always use an Amex, you'll thank me one day.

Google each destination for their current requirements.

They both currently are. Costa Rica does require mandatory health insurance, but does not require any testing.

DR I am not very familiar with, but from their official site it seems that coming from USA no test is required.

not sure where to post this

If the issue is waning antibodies in some cases, why not accept a recent antibody test that indicates high antibodies?

Why do you even think that is the issue?

What then is the issue? Waning immunity while antibodies remain high?! ::)
