I think it’s safe to say most people (you and I included) are more likely to enjoy listening to someone when we tend to agree with their slant. We may not realize it, and may think they’re just more talented than their counterparts at stations we agree with less, but this is actually a well documented sociological phenomenon.
I definitely agree. I like listening to Ben Shaprio because I agree with much of what he says. And the partisanship on Fox is not off-putting to me, because I agree with much of it.
Equally true is that I have a really hard time listening to CNN because of the views of many of the hosts, even though I personally enjoyed the pre-Trump Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, and I don't think they lost their talent.
