I personally like many of Fox hosts because I think they are talented and enjoyable to listen to. Top on the list are Bill Hemmer, Harris Faulkner, and Shannon Bream. I also like many of their correspondents, including Chad Purgram (this guy is seriously underrated) and Peter Doocy.
I think it’s safe to say most people (you and I included) are more likely to enjoy listening to someone when we tend to agree with their slant. We may not realize it, and may think they’re just more talented than their counterparts at stations we agree with less, but this is actually a well documented sociological phenomenon.

I am the oddball. I would rather here or listen to the opposite view as I already know my view is the correct one.  :)

But will you like the person with the opposing viewpoint better?

I definitely agree. I like listening to Ben Shaprio because I agree with much of what he says. And the partisanship on Fox is not off-putting to me, because I agree with much of it.

Equally true is that I have a really hard time listening to CNN because of the views of many of the hosts, even though I personally enjoyed the pre-Trump Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper, and I don't think they lost their talent.

If they are honest/fair, I like them all.
Two that come to mind are Dana Perino and Bill O'Reilly.
Then there is one that was funny and good but went off the deep end, Jesse Watters.

No you are not like those nutcases and that is why you should watch your back. Once they get you canned, all the Kool-aid drinkers here will claim you were a liberal hack anyway.

All for Chris Wallace leaving fox  news..........
I'm sure he has a nice cushy contract. Probably will move to CNN now.

Wallace contract is $9 million a year. His peak at Fox was $7million. Just in case anyone thought it had nothing to do with the $,$$$,$$$.

Like when Albert Belle jumped from the Indians to the Sox for the richest contract in baseball history and said that "It wasn't about the most money"?
Terrible analogy.
He is going to a streaming service.
Oh please, this happens all the time, cc Sabathia only will sign on the west coast. This player will only sign for a contender, that player's wife thinks Chicago is too cold.

They all end up taking the biggest contract, aside from a select few (Ken griffey famously and publicly hated the Yankees).
Hopefully you will all reach a point where it isn't about money. The sooner you reach that point the more you will enjoy life.
CW is 74 and I am sure he is way past that point.

But let's keep bring up these stupid sports analogies so we can go another 100 pages. Need to drive traffic to make money, right?  :)
Uh. I daresay CNN can overpay for talent to kickstart a potentially lucrative streaming service.
Perhaps he was tired of FOX, but I'm sure CNN came with piles of money.
Why is everyone hung up on this money angel?
Because that's the main reason high-profile people switch jobs?
Again, not saying it can't be both, but to assume money wasn't a factor seems naive to me.
Money to a 74-year-old is not the same as money to a 34-year-old. Most at that age (74) have a different perspective.

Let's not gloss over the point he left immediately and left them hanging. That's not a money issue.
This is a silly argument. All anyone is saying is unless stated otherwise, the primary reason people switch jobs is paycheck. If he had an issue with fox, it would have probably leaked before he quit. Perhaps it will come out later, but without either side giving another reason, follow the money.
What you're not realizing is that most people you're arguing with think Tucker and Hannity are great Americans, and aren't toxic, so they honestly think it's about money.
You have to learn to converse with Trumpsters as the cult members that they are.
LOL, me, Dan and TimT, the biggest Trumpkins on the forum. We had a DO on 1/6 in DC, for legal reasons we can't disclose exactly where. And as for Tucker being a great American, I'm pretty sure this will be the only search result from my account for that phrase.
I wasn't referring to you and Dan, it seemed to me you guys were just defending the possibility that money was a factor. I was referring to those strongly arguing that it has to be money
Who else was in the conversation? Just take the L and sit down.

How does it go? You're so far up the anti Trump a**, you can see Jen Rubin's feet?

Everyone: unless stated otherwise, we will assume he switched because he's getting more money.

You: Na ah. He's fed up with fox news.

Cw: crickets

Months later: he is getting paid more

You: who ever said anything about money?

No you are not understanding. Of course he is making 25-30% more. But you would really need to be able to get into the mind of a Trumpster to have any idea why someone would even think it has anything at all to do with his decision.

Happy to see Chris Wallace end up the same nowhere where Megan Kelly is right now. Just waiting for shepherd smith to land there too
