Incorrect birthdate on res (for minor) - problem?

I was booking award tickets for my wife to fly with 2 minor children on B6. To book 3 tickets at once, the price per ticket would have been much higher, so I made 3 separate reservations to save points.

But the system wanted to charge me a $150 unaccompanied minor fee per kid since it wasn't linked to my wife's res, so I simply changed the years of their birth to make them 14 to avoid the charge, since they're traveling with my wife and won't be unaccompanied.

I know that birthdays aren't printed on tickets, but will the incorrect birthdays make any problems with TSA passenger screening, or at any point in the check-in process? If so, will B6 change the birthdates for me over the phone without any fees?

If it's relevant, DS is 13, but DD is only 8.

Just make sure to arrive early at the airport. It shouldn't be a problem.
I did the same when I split my family and I flew business. Needed to get separate tickets. And that was an overseas flight.

Does TSA see the birthday on the reservation when they scan your id ?

AFAIK the only time DOB matters on a ticket is if you're trying to add TSA pre to the boarding pass, then it has to match on the ticket.

Maybe just the day and month have to match, not the year.

I had once my dob was entered wrong on my ticket and I couldn't add TSA pre until I got a representative to fix it to the correct day and month.

Same thing happened to my wife on Southwest. Took a bunch of flights to realize her Rapid Rewards account had the wrong birthday (was just a few days off). We had extra time once so waited on the customer service line where they found and corrected the issue.

They flew with family with precheck over 18? Kids under 18 will generally get Pre check regardless.
