The PC im running BI is from Dell outlet slim - keeps on crashing
you would need to check the root cause of the issue, what generation processor? what are the CPU levels? what encoding is it set on? did you optimize it properly? do have any overlays?
Are you on H264?
hardware acceleration is on or off?

When I bumped into this video, my mind was set that this is the setup I need. As my skills were not the best, I asked a few camera people that I would like this, all declined. Finally one friend decided to play around and setup the basics for me, and I'll play around later with the AI and other features, and of course I never got to it

When my house was being build I arranged that all wires end in a certain closet, but that was a rookie mistake as it's not ventilated. Either way, I purchased from Dell Outlet a OptiPlex 7070 Micro (Specs are i7-9, 16gb RAM, Intel UHD 630 Graphics). It's always on, and running Blue Iris and Home Assistant). After a short time, the computer suddenly starts beeping (and of course it's Shabbos...). I contacted Dell and they claimed it's a bios issue, and did a software update. Then it happened again a week later (Shabbos as well....) and then it happened here & there, and then for a while it didn't happen. (When it happens I simply power off & back on - I dont have a screen on that PC so no clue what it would have showed). After not happening for a while it happened last week Friday morning then again a few hours later right at the Zman.

Not sure if this is related to Blue Iris, or that the PC is always on.

Their App costs $10 - I only use it to view the feed, not too bad

On my PC I view it thru the "UI3", in HD it's pretty sluggish, and when opening a feed it's takes about 15 seconds to live view

can't view their files outside of their software, needs to be exported/converted

Sounds like it's overheating, the micros do that especially with these type of software. You can try to tweak the settings so that it's mostly using dedicated hardware encoders so you won't use too much cpu cycles and overheat.

You can monitor the temperatures to see if it's that.
