Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Were you shocked to learn that it's misleading?

As usual I must be missing something. If it is a straight through cable, does it make a difference?

No not at all but when you want to do 568b and look on the picture for one end and then looking at the real 568b you get a fail crossover, data doesn't care about colors but the pairs need to add up on both ends

Yes and even more that they don't have a feedback page to let them know about the correction

I see that neither has the order the same as what you posted

The picture you posted says it is for a straight through cable. So, it will work.

Pro tip: Just stick with 568B so nothing gets messed up in the future.

The first picture you posted has the wrong configuration. AFAIK there is no reason you would ever make a cable using that configuration.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It is a straight through cable. Which wires are configured wrong?

I didn't want to go in circles but I'll try
You are correct that data doesn't care about colors as long as they add up to the the correct pair on both ends
We both agree that if there is a standard you should try to follow it, even though there might be 10 different possibilities to achieve (almost) the same result
I was attempting to do a straight through cable crossing some floors and I didn't expect to have a non standard picture [on Google] so the first connection I followed the wrong diagram the 2nd which wasn't close to the 1st I did the correct way 568b, and the cable tester was supper excited about my mess  up

I cut the 1st end a few feet long in case I ever need it for a patch cable and recrimped it properly

Any questions? I'll be glad to answer

Yes you should follow the standard. I was pointing out if you followed picture one for both ends it will work.
You would have the same problem if you used 568a for the first connector.
Look at it as if you are colorblind and it will make more sense.  :)
