Received cancelled order from Amazon seller...

I ordered an item from a seller and cancelled it a minute later after finding an alternative. I only had the option to "Request Cancellation", so I did that, and got a cancellation email a few days later (it was over the holidays). This morning, I received the item in the mail. I checked my Amazon account, and there's no record of the order. I want to know if they will make me return it.

Note: I ordered from Amazon.co.uk, but I'm assuming that the policies are pretty much the same...

I doubt they will.

As far as halacha, even though T"A is mutar, if you can make a kiddush hashem, then it doesn't hurt to contact the seller. Odds are he wont make you ship it back either way.

I also ordered from a seller within amazon.com and "requested cancellation"... after a couple of days the seller cancelled my request for cancellation so I filed an A to Z claim with amazon and got my money back in full 24 hours later... oops i still got the item

Yes, UPS. But I did not request a refund because i found a better price but because the item was not as described...

Oh absolutely! It is marked as delivered. But when I received my money back from Amazon, I am not sure who Amazon is getting that money from (the seller or just as a one-time loss...)...
