I had COVID in March of 2020 and just had it again (assumed to be Omicron).
In some ways Omicron was worse than the first time (I am young and healthy and unvaxxed).
Round 1 - was sick with fever, body aches etc for about 2 days. I lost my smell and had a terrible wracking cough that lasted for probably 6 months. I got my smell back after about a week but it was only in a small capacity. It took probably about 8 months until it came back fully.
Round 2- I had fever and body aches for 1 day, a cough but not too bad, and terrible fatigue, headaches, and overall weakness that lasted a lot longer. I am still not feeling back to myself and it's been almost 2 weeks since symptoms began. It also turned into a sinus infection that I needed antibiotics for.
Most people that got Omicron seem to have gotten it much milder, so I'm not sure why I'm different.
