I really did try to guess the word, and I lost, fair and square.  I didn't post that board.

I then came up with a totally different board, made up of words that didn't form a rational game, but were all SF-related, as if I were actually following the "clue".  I thought this was very funny, since it wasn't an honest attempt to guess the word. 

But after @AsherO's comment, I realized that even the wrong answer could act as a spoiler, so I deleted it.

What can I say?  AsherO is usually right.
