Topic Wiki

This thread is to discuss whether people feel that something is unethical, not to find out what the law*/T&C says.

Any Halachic questions should be posted here.

*According to CountValentine this includes religion, but unfortunately for him, the general consensus is that religion will always be entwined in this thread.

*Hint* If you have to ask, It's most likely not ethical.

Don't know if this belongs here or ethics thread.
I bought a pair of shoes on Chase card. After one shabbos I found out they are really uncomfortable, but they are no longer in sellable condition and I doubt store would take them back.
Can I buy another pair on Amex, use the new pair to get refund on visa and then do rp on used pair for Amex?

People who refer to the killing of a Gorilla as "murder" should be taken out back and shot.

Why?
People who equate humans with beasts have obviously lost their moral compass and are dangers to society.

Someone called a talk show I was listening to (don't remember who). And I quote: "shouldn't have killed the gorilla, since they are an endangered species... And there are many 3 year old children" and she was serious!

Unbelievable. These people have no value or appreciation for life. They actually have no values or value.

Obviously that's extreme and ridiculous. I can understand people first reactions as to why the animal wasn't tranquilized but after learning the facts about how that works you realize they had no other choice but to kill him.

So the only explanation for the outrage is that the beasts life should come before the human.

How are people not being arrested for saying this?

If you got arrested just for being stupid the jails would be overflowing... and even the forums would be less full. :)

For the person who doesn't care about the own child enough to keep him from falling into a gorilla cage.

How is that even an argument? Who cares whether or not the parents were neglectful. How does it even come into this equation?
