Topic Wiki

This thread is to discuss whether people feel that something is unethical, not to find out what the law*/T&C says.

Any Halachic questions should be posted here.

*According to CountValentine this includes religion, but unfortunately for him, the general consensus is that religion will always be entwined in this thread.

*Hint* If you have to ask, It's most likely not ethical.

I also thought like you that people were not valuing the gorilla life over the kids but read some of the comments on that article, let me know if you still feel that way.

Lets take the gorilla out of the equation. What if a child fell 15 feet and dies from the fall? I guess it would be the zoo's fault?

Depends
Not in our current environment of not taking responsibility for ones own actions.

I can make a list of members here that would sue the zoo in a heartbeat.  :)

I killed 7 three year old white boys today. No justice, no piece.
Someone want to translate this for me?

Who wouldn't sue
The question is whether they can win in court...

IMHO they would not be on the list as they seem to take responsibility for their actions and not try to blame others.  :P

Best comment so far:... "That child was unwatched long enough to get through the bushes that led to the fence that the child fell through. While I don't envy his adulthood, as now he has a long path to tread, that mother needs to pay her price. It was "just an animal", but she wasn't doing her job. Neither was the father, if he was present. The child got away. It's called natural selection. Bet if it was a black kid, the gorilla would've actually been tranquilized .."
