Nice job, and that’s why I started this thread, to discuss if there is anything to watch out for, if ceasers is paying or holding the $ etc.

Of course there are risks in everything and gambling is very high up there. But like many topics on DDF, this was seemingly yet another way to make a couple bucks…

Regarding diagnosis of various addictions, it's not one of the diagnostic criteria for substance use disorders, but it is included as one of the criteria that are used for gambling disorder. It's not a required criterion, but it certainly is incredibly common.

I did this promotion with someone guiding me on exactly what to do, but I will say that it's a little scary and I'm not sure I would do it again. It was so easy to bet the $3,000 in a matter of seconds and I can understand how people get pulled into it. Like someone mentioned, it's not losing that is the problem, it's the winning that gets people hooked. Also, driving into Brooklyn yesterday I saw at least 15 billboards for Caesars which adds to the draw. The potential for ruin from this is far greater than the credit card game IMHO. I also didn't share this with my wife for fear of her disapproval - another warning sign.
