No, you physically have to be there in order to log in. VPN don't work.
So to confirm: someone from out of state can drive into NY, download the app, fund the account, and place the bet while in NY (despite listing a non-NY address when opening the account)?

Yes. I did it in NY with an out of State address.

And you cant combine the $1500 bonus free bet with your own $1500, right? Does that remove the ability to hedge with someone else and yield $3kish total (across both people)?

Anybody do BetMGM 1k free bet? Should be guaranteed $444.5 each with 2 accounts hedging against each other.

What's the best approach with Caesar's current promo (that they match your deposit with a free bet)? It sounds like the free bet doesn't combine with your bet, so you need to place two seperate wagers?

Yup, though I would be very careful betting the same sportsbook against itself. No reason you can’t just hedge using FD, DK, etc.

So for example, get a free 1k bet from MGM and a free 1k bet from Caesars, and bet against each other for a guaranteed win on one of them?

Well, no. Think you would want to bet the free bet (meaning, if you lose, they give you another 1k bet) at plus odds vs another sportsbook cash (not a free bet) at minus odds (you can play around with the numbers in different games to figure out the optimal odds on both sides). If the plus odds wins, great you take your profits and walk away. If the minus odds wins, that means you lost your free bet and get another 1k bet. The second 1k bet should be something like an over/under at -110 vs another sports book at -110.

Disclaimer: there might be a more optimal play then what’s described above but it should be pretty close to max hedged profit.

Edit: Also, super important to read the t&cs of the free bet. Some sportsbooks only give you the winnings of the free bet and not the principle, which obviously changes the math.

Also, don’t bet large amounts on a random college game as your asking to be shut down.

If I'm not interested in hedging and opening multiple accounts and just want to take advantage of a free $1500 bet from Caesars (and if I lose, so be it...), then is there anything to know T&Cs-wise? Or can I just dump it all on one game and hope for the best? Also, does the deposited cash (that got me the free bet in the first place) ever need to be wagered? Or would I be able to place the free bet, and if I win, withdraw those winning plus my initial cash deposit, and if I lose, just withdraw my initial cash?
