Or it's easier to just say that all products from a hotel bar are prohibited instead of actually doing research and providing more detailed information about various products and scenarios.

I guarantee you that was not the intent of those who wrote this over a hundred years ago and more. Not sure what axe it is that you have to grind. This was discussed in the airport lounge thread.

Also the benefit of this would probably be saving people from doing the wrong thing that they have been doing without a thought about what could be wrong!!!

Why are boiled eggs not bishul akum? Shulchan Melachim?

Other interesting topics are raw fish (some can be identified reliably by color, etc), utensils (glass v metal, cold v hot, 24h & Davar Charif), & bread (pig lard being primary concern for those who eat Pas Akum AFAIK).

Boiled eggs are made by two companies for almost all hotels. Both have hashgocha. Hotels that give free breakfast rarely make their own

I have gotten full sleeves or bags of shelled, hard boiled eggs from hotels who serve them for breakfast. You just need to deal with all the preservatives they put them in.
