Boiled eggs are made by two companies for almost all hotels. Both have hashgocha. Hotels that give free breakfast rarely make their own

+100 this is a big concern
What is wrong with fruit infused water? Any issur (tolaim, belios from knife) would be batul.

unless it's charif, then it may or may not be batul depending on the volume.

if the Lemon (only fruit I can think of) is charif (debated in SA) then you need 60 in the water against the blios of the knife? or is chanan relevant here?

Hot peppers :o
Can't say I've ever seen that. Even herbs are rare.
Usually just fruit chunks or cucumber/lemon/lime slices.

anything not charif isn't going to be an issue since you'll definitely have shishim in the water against whatever may have been left on the knife.

You don't get the fruit in your cup. It's in a section inside the water to infuse flavor.

Or the fruit. Whichever is smaller.

you gotta assume they chopped more than one. Practically, you probably have to be meshiair b'omed yaffeh which still shouldn't affect the water

I can hear them adding a bit of hot pepper to add a zing to it but how much can it be? I am sure less volume than the chef knife.
