Constant download of Speech Services by Google, how to get rid of it?

I see it's posted all over the place. Why doesn't Samsung remove the bug or fix this issue.
   I tried one of the methods to go to Google services services update the package manually,  that didn't work so tried to Uninstall and reinstall app. That seemed to work until the morning.

 It says waiting for connection to download. I have internet and wifi and nothing seems to trigger it to download. What have you guys done.

Uninstall the app and reinstall it.

It did the trick for me.


Edit. I just saw that you wrote this.
I thought it had to do my filter and not the actual app.

Yup toggled the filter on and off. And then Google was my next friend and I was accompanied by 100s of others complaining about this same issue. I guess we need to reach out to Google and or samsung.

Weirdest is that when you drag down the notification, the cancel button doesn't work. The only way to get rid of it is to do a force close on the app.

It just came back again this morning.
I guess I will hide the notification and it will eat up my battery. Thanks Samsung.

It's Google's issue, not Samsung. Happening to a bunch of different vendors over the past 2 days.

The notification IINM doesn't cause high battery usage. (It can be doing other things which might be)

I'm having a similar issue with ok Google but it may be due to my filter.
Getting a message every 15 min on my Samsung device "ok google model update download failed". Anyone have the same thing?
