In my line of work, I live in them. You never know when there's a hidden screw under one of the stickers.

It turned out to be an issue with the LCD screen and not the screen connector cable.
We replaced the whole back for less than $100 (found coupon for $10) from here: https://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=24534
Made more sense that way than to replace just the LCD screen, which would only cost slightly less but more complicated to do.
