Global Entry renewal questions
« on: February 01, 2022, 07:15:03 PM »
My GE just expired, and I just wonder:

1. Will I get the same Known Traveler Number after renewal?
2. Do I still have to go to the enrollment center after arriving in the US from my first trip abroad?

1. Yes
2. I believe it's YMMV.

Officially I think they say you may be required to visit an enrollment center to complete the renewal process. Personally, they approved my renewal without visiting an enrollment center.

1. Anyone know what is a normal time for pending review?
Wife and I both applied a few months ago. I got conditionally approved next day. Hers is still pending.
2. Does it make any difference that her passport has less than 6 month to expiration?
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

No, not until you receive your final approval and known traveler number.

Son did his interview when arriving at MDW. Was quick and painless.

"Once a traveler is conditionally-approved, instead of scheduling an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center, the traveler can complete the enrollment interview during CBP primary inspection at a participating airport. Upon arrival, travelers will be directed to a primary booth designated specifically for Enrollment on Arrival. A CBP officer will conduct both the primary processing and Global Entry interview and collect the traveler’s biometrics to complete the enrollment. The traveler will then be cleared for entry into the United States and will be a Global Entry member."
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Late data point, but paid for renewal on the 21st and approved on 23rd - all via online portal (2-day turnaround time). No subsequent interview or anything needed
