Staying with USA ringtone when traveling overseas

Is there any way to stay with a USA ringtone when people call you when overseas?
Sometimes it’s very annoying to have to explain to each caller exactly where you’re traveling etc.

I have a Verizon plan but I’m sure the same goes for other carriers.

Someone advised me to forward all calls to my work number, we use 8X8 which has a phone app. I’m Curious a. If 8X8 app will work overseas, b. If it will stay with USA ringer.

I would expect 8x8 to work overseas and still have a U.S. ringtone. The only reason you have a foreign ringtone is because your call is routed on foreign telephony systems that use that ringtone. 8x8 is VOIP that routes over the internet and simulates a real (“POTS”) phone line, so you’d keep the US ringtone abroad with that.
