Schwab Charitable doesn't charge any fees for the grants, as far as I know?

Your donation is to ppgf, that is dated when you give it
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

Does TDF offer an investment vehicle of a low-cost money market fund, as Fidelity Charitable does (currently yielding 5%+)? This page on their site shows very limited options and info.

I have a DF account and don’t see an investment option. All it says about investment is “coming soon” but it’s been that way for about a year….anyone have a different experience?

They are investing your money on their own behalf, so they definitely won’t pay you 5%. That’s how the DAFs make money, and why they sprang up like mushrooms after the rain when rates ticked up.

I'm new to this DAF thing. I should've checked here before depositing money into donors fund with cc and paying 2.9%.
I see here I could've done it with Paypal to avoid the fee.

The fee portion does not count as a donation as far as a tax write off?

Generally, when I donate money to an organization, I get the full deduction even though they pay a cc processing fee. With DAF that isn't the case?

I just downloaded my 2023 report from TDF and it was missing a few deposits. They will add them for me manually. Make sure to go over your report. PP giving doesn't count because you get the deduction on the PP end.

just noticed that as well. they also have "masked" checks which don't show the denomination. not sure when I would use that though.
