Dear passengers,

Due to the current situation in Ukraine, passengers who have flight tickets purchased before February 13, 2022 (included) and for Turkish Airlines flights arriving to/departing from Ukraine (Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv) between February 13, 2022 and February 28, 2022 (included), have been granted the additional change and refund rights written below, provided that they perform the transactions until February 28, 2022.

Changing rights:

A right to rebook without charge (provided that the new flight is for the same route and cabin), as long as the requested date of flight is no later than 31/03/2022 (included).
Route change is possible under the fare rules of the original ticket.
Validity date of the tickets may be extended until 31/03/2022 (included) without any fee or penalty (change to an open ticket).
Refund rights:

Flights arriving to Ukraine:

Unused tickets can be refunded.
For partially used tickets (tickets for travel that has not been completed), only the unused segment of the ticket can be refunded.
For flights departing from Ukraine:

A route change is possible under the fare rules and conditions of the original ticket.
Ticket changes and refunds can be made through the Turkish Airlines sales offices, call center, and the agencies from which the ticket was purchased.

The Lufthansa Group airlines are offering travelers to/from Ukraine the opportunity to rebook their flight or to have their tickets refunded free of charge.

Goodwill policy (TWP 2201) for rebooking/reissue/refund of flights which are not cancelled

Passengers

whose OS/LH/LX/SN/EN ticket (257/220/724/082/101) has been issued on/before 14 February 2022, and

with an original confirmed ticketed date of travel on/after 14 February 2022 and on/before 28 February 2022, and

with a booked Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa/SWISS/Brussels Airlines/Eurowings/Germanwings flight to/from Kyiv (KBP) / Lviv (LWO) / Odesa (ODS) (operated by OS/LH/LX/SN/EW/4U), or

with a booked flight operated by other airlines (OAL) with OS/LH/LX/SN/EW/4U flight numbers (“code share”) to/from Ukraine
may rebook once free of charge or have their ticket refunded free of charge.

The following rules apply to rebookings:

Rebooking on an alternative Lufthansa Group flight/connection (flight number and operated by: OS, SN, EW, 4U, LH, LX) – in the original booking class or, alternatively, in the originally ticketed compartment.

Rebooking on flights operated by other airlines (OAL) – in the original ticketed booking class only

New travel date on/before 31 May 2022

The change of origin/destination is not permitted.

In the case of reissues the endorsement entry must read: TWP2201
You can do the rebooking/reissue in accordance with this goodwill policy (TWP 2201) without having to request a waiver from your Lufthansa Group Agency Support.

The following rules apply to the refund:

The ticket can be refunded on a voluntary basis (provided all prerequisites as described above are fulfilled) – any cancellation/refund penalty is waived. This is also valid for non-refundable tickets. OPC and DCC (YR) remain non-refundable.

FORTE11/12 is on reconnaissance flights. They were overflying Ukraine non-stop till the war broke out, and since only doing the black sea

After many countries closed their airspace, the EU as a whole is closing it's airspace to Russia. Russia will definitely block it's airspace in retaliation.
For those tracking Aeroflot flights, they are all registered in Bermuda, not Russia

Keep in mind the importance of the Siberian Corridor, but given that China/HKG/Japan is still more or less shut due to COVID, the immediate impact won't be felt as fast, besides for cargo flights
