My problem is sort of fixed, too, thanks to @ckmk47.  If I highlight everything I want to post and choose font size 10, it will still insert an unwanted line, but it is no longer miniscule in size!  A pain, but it gets the job done.  Thank you.

Are you telling me that every single time you make a post on DDF you first write it in notepad and transfer it instead of just posting directly on the forum?  What a pain!

Why does this happen?  I only have this problem on DDF!  To reiterate, this only started happening recently.  It never used to be like this.  What are we all doing to make this happen now?

Is it a problem when typing a post, or only when copying and pasting something from elsewhere?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Okay so what I do occasionally when I want to strip all formatting is to paste it into the url bar (I press alt-d to take me there and then control-v) and then copy it from there (alt-d again and control-c) and then paste it into its destination.

It sounds like a bunch of steps but once you get used to it it's really not so much.

Note that it may ruin the wordle boxes, I haven't tried it with that.

Isn't easier to use CTRL + Shift + V or right click and paste as plain text?

Never used ALT + D I always used CTRL + L (fits with it's command line shortcut)

definitely easier than right click. Does control-shift-v work in the browser?

I prefer alt-d over control-l since it uses the same hand as control-c and v.

That's interesting, the keyboard should default to the regular F keys, and you should have click Fn if you want the alternate usage...

Not necessarily. But the
should
isn't always the way it actually comes.
